SJ Federal Credit Union Awards Scholarships to Eight Students

Martin, Publicity Coordinator 856-374-9700 smartin@SouthJerseyFCU.com Deptford, NJ - (June 2010) - South Jersey Federal Credit Union (SJFCU) awarded scholarships to eight South Jersey graduating high school seniors for the 2010-2011 academic year at their chosen colleges and universities.Students are eligible if they are an SJFCU member, or if a parent/guardian is a member. Winners of the scholarships were selected on the basis of high school academic performance, teacher references, extracurricular and community involvement, and an essay.
The recipients, their hometowns and high schools, the college/university they plan to attend, are:
$1,000 Scholarship:Connor Moseley Egg Harbor Twp.; Egg Harbor Township HS Yale University
$750 Scholarship:
Caitlin Fanz
$500 Scholarships:
Christopher Dampf
Justin DeGuzman Marlton; Cherokee HS Rutgers University
Joanna Hale Voorhees; Eastern Regional HS Mount St. Mary’s University
Kathryn Hughes Cherry Hill; Merion Mercy Academy Dickinson College
Stephanie Rivera Egg Harbor Twp.; Egg Harbor Township HS University of Tampa
Nicholas Sharr Belvidere; Belvidere HS S.U.N.Y. at Oneonta

Earlier this month, scholarship winners gathered at SJFCU’s main office in Deptford to receive their awards and commemorative certificates from Benjamin T. Griffith, SJFCU president and CEO.
