Moorestown Mall earns an award for its efforts to promote public
transportation options for employees and mall patrons.

MOORESTOWN, NJ. - July 21, 2010 - Moorestown Mall is now a recognized New Jersey Smart Workplaces bronze level recipient. The prestigious New Jersey Smart Workplaces award honors places of business for the creation of programs that provide and promote commuting options for employees. For Moorestown Mall and Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT), the award represents a partnership with the local Transportation Management Association (TMA) that promotes commuter service for mall employees and shoppers.
“We are proud to offer the convenience of commuter options to Moorestown Mall employees and shoppers. Not only is this a benefit to our employees and patrons in terms of convenience, but it helps to ease local traffic patterns and is also a great asset to the environment,” says Moorestown Mall Senior Marketing Director Lisa Wolstromer.
New Jersey Smart Workplaces, sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Transportation, honored Moorestown Mall’s efforts for hosting commuter venues at the property with a community table, designating bus schedule postings at the customer service desk and having customer service representatives on site as a daily point of contact for basic commute information. This year, over 450 New Jersey workplaces were honored for taking an initiative to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality through work-site based employee community transportation options.
