Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP Names New South Jersey Managing Partner
Ralph P. Ferrara Named Cherry Hill Office Managing Partner
PHILADELPHIA - March 22, 2010–Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP recently named Ralph P. Ferrara as the Managing Partner of the firm’s Cherry Hill, New Jersey office. Upon joining Obermayer’s Litigation Department in March 2009, Ferrara served as Co-Managing Partner with Gregory D. Saputelli. According to Robert I. Whitelaw, Managing Partner, “We brought Ralph in because he is a well respected lawyer in the Construction field and to expand our office in New Jersey– not only in terms of the number of attorneys but also in the geographic area of South Jersey.” Since Ferrara’s arrival last year, the Cherry Hill office has more than doubled in size in both number of resident lawyers and production.
Ferrara also chairs the Firm’s Construction Practice Group and is co-chair of the Marketing and Practice Development Committee. Before joining Obermayer, he served as chair of Wolf Block’s Construction Industry Group. Prior to that, he was chair of the Litigation Department at Flaster/Greenberg.
Ferrara has over 24 years of general litigation experience with an emphasis on construction and complex litigation. Named one of the top attorneys in South Jersey (SJ Magazine, 2003 and 2004), Ferrara has extensive trial experience, having handled more than 200 trials, hearings and arbitrations combined. He also counsels clients in business practice, real estate development and acquisition and professional negligence.
Ferrara is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law (J.D., 1985) and Rutgers University (B.A., 1982). He is a member of the New Jersey State and Camden County bar associations.
He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the Supreme Court of the United States, Court of International Trade, Supreme Court of New Jersey, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Ferrara is a resident of Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
