Sign company employees wrapped Virtua’s signs with the new logo in preparation for the formal name change on April 20, 2009.

MARLTON, NJ - April 20, 2009 - When organizations reach a certain point of growth or accomplishment, they find that they have outgrown their name or brand identity. That is what Virtua Health discovered on the occasion of their tenth anniversary in 2009.

“Our brand equity has grown so significantly that after only ten years as a newly merged organization, we are universally known as Virtua,” said Richard P. Miller, Virtua’s President and CEO. “We have also transformed four community hospitals into a powerhouse regional healthcare provider with top doctors, advanced technology, and a skilled staff that delivers an outstanding patient experience. It seemed like an appropriate time to reflect our transformation in our brand identity.”

As a result, Virtua Health becomes simply Virtua, today, April 20, 2009. The new logo is a modernized version of the logo that was developed in 1999 at the time of the merger of Memorial Health Alliance and the West Jersey Health System. Despite being a newly minted system in 1999, the two systems had roots that went back to the 1880s when they were founded in the Mount Holly and Camden communities.

Virtua consists of four hospitals and various outpatient centers. It is building a replacement hospital for its current Voorhees hospital which will open in 2011. A Health and Wellness Center is under construction in Washington Township and will offer a full array of outpatient services as well as a fitness center, a med-spa and an immediate care center. A second Health and Wellness Center is planned in Moorestown.

Fresh concept to add unique, seasonally inspired flavors to region’s dining landscape

Orlando, FL (February 23, 2009) - Seasons 52, the popular fresh grill and wine bar restaurant, will open its newest location on Bistro Row at Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, on Monday, March 23.  The company’s first restaurant to open outside its footprint in the southeastern United States, the Cherry Hill location is set to introduce its forward-thinking, fresh concept to the Philadelphia region.

“We believe Seasons 52 perfectly matches this region’s enthusiasm for fresh, seasonally-inspired cuisine,” said Shannon Earley, the new restaurant’s General Manager.  ”Guests are sure to enjoy our warm, welcoming atmosphere, live music nightly in our piano bar and our adventurous international selection of 120 wines, 60 of them by the glass.”

Seasons 52 serves great-tasting, highly satisfying meals prepared with rustic cooking techniques, such as oven roasting and grilling over open fire, to enhance the natural flavor of each dish.  Every week of the year, as different foods reach their seasonal peak of taste, Seasons 52 seeks out the best, market-fresh products, such as vine-ripened heirloom tomatoes in summer, crisp apples in autumn, hearty root vegetables in winter and tender asparagus in spring.

“Our focus at Seasons 52 is to provide our guests with a casually sophisticated dining experience, highlighted by sensational food that just happens to be good for you,” said Anthony O’Neill, Executive Chef at the Cherry Hill restaurant.  “We pride ourselves on serving a seasonally inspired menu that always offers something new to discover, 52 weeks a year.”

Located adjacent to Nordstrom on the Cherry Hill Mall’s new Bistro Row, Seasons 52 complements this exciting new retail environment.  Complimentary valet parking is available for Seasons 52 guests.  For reservations, call 856.665.1052 or visit Seasons52.com.

“Gloucester Township welcomes Bertucci’s to our community.  This business boosts our economy by providing job opportunities, as well as fine dining for our residents and the region.  We welcome them to our business community.” ~Mayor Rau-Hatton

Our Ribbon Cutting event represented a truly exciting day for our restaurant to be welcomed so enthusiatically by our new community and partners in the Chamber of Commerce. We have been eagarly awaiting this “official” kick-off for some time now, and were overwhelmed by the sense of hospitality that our new friends and neighbors showed us on our special opening day. Bertucci’s is proud to have been able to raise and donate over $2300 to one of our local food banks, Philabundance, and look forward to participating in future charitable efforts and initiatives within our community. Going forward, we look to strengthen and further develop our new found relationships and enjoy many years of exciting and mutually beneficial endeavors. Based on how the local businesses and people have embraced us as new members of their community, we feel confident that we can realize, in Sicklerville, New Jersey, our company’s Mission Statement of being “our guests favorite local Italian restaurant, by serving distinctive, flavorful food and treating people the way they want to be treated”.

Adventure Aquarium Granted Accreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

adventureaquariumlogo

Silver Spring, Maryland (March 30, 2009) - The Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) today announced that Adventure Aquarium was granted accreditation by AZA’s independent Accreditation Commission.

“Adventure Aquarium has been awarded AZA accreditation because of its high standards in every aspect of its operations,” said AZA President and CEO Jim Maddy. “Camden should be proud to have one of the top aquariums in North America as a valuable community asset and economic engine.”

“We are honored once again to achieve AZA accreditation status,” said Greg Charbeneau, Adventure Aquarium’s Executive Director.  “It is highly rewarding to be recognized by our industry peers as having an unwavering commitment to the highest professional standards of animal care and management.  This recognition only further demonstrates Adventure Aquarium’s commitment to being a world-class aquarium and community treasure that brings animals and people together to create extraordinary experiences.”

To be accredited, Adventure Aquarium underwent a thorough investigation to ensure it has and will continue to meet ever-rising standards, which include animal care, veterinary programs, conservation, education, and safety. AZA requires zoos and aquariums to successfully complete this rigorous accreditation process in order to be members of the Association, and are required to resubmit to this process every five years.
